A proper compact messenger

I wanted a smaller leather messenger for days when I don't need a laptop. This holds my iPad, wallet, keys and notebook without having a lot of unused space. The horizontal shape also sits comfortably against my side.

Good layout inside

The multiple internal compartments are useful because I don't like everything collecting at the bottom of a bag. I can keep smaller items separate while leaving enough open space for my tablet.

Works well for commuting light

On lighter office days I take my iPad instead of my laptop, and this is a much better size than my regular briefcase. The flap closure is straightforward and the shoulder strap adjusts easily.

Leather feels excellent

The surface is smoother than some of my more rugged leather bags, but it still feels substantial. I'm looking forward to seeing how the black leather develops with regular use.

Good for weekends

This is now the bag I use when I'm going into town for a few hours. It holds everything I normally put in my pockets and still has room for a small notebook.

Comfortable shape

Because the bag is only about 29 cm wide, it stays close to my body instead of sticking out. That makes it much nicer to carry in crowded places.

Clean and understated

I specifically chose this because it doesn't have a lot of decorative hardware. The simple black leather and horizontal profile work equally well with casual clothes and something smarter.

Useful travel companion

Better than stuffed pockets

I was carrying too much in my jacket pockets, so I finally tried a compact messenger. This has been much more convenient and I like that it still looks like a proper leather bag.

The inside feels well finished and I'm comfortable putting my tablet in there. The compartments also stop chargers and smaller items from moving around too much.

The dimensions work well for someone who carries a modest amount. It isn't meant to replace a large work bag, but for normal everyday items it is very practical.

Strap adjusts well

I'm fairly tall and sometimes compact bags have straps that sit too high. I was able to adjust this one to a comfortable position without any trouble.

I've been carrying it several times a week and everything still feels secure. The stitching, strap attachment and metal hardware all seem solid.

I considered a brown messenger but I'm glad I chose black. The simple shape makes it easy to use for work, dinner or just running errands.

Exactly the smaller messenger I needed

I already have a full-size leather work bag, but most days I wasn't filling half of it. The Don makes much more sense for an iPad, wallet, glasses, keys and a notebook. The internal compartments keep the smaller pieces organized, and the flap gives it a traditional messenger look without making the bag feel oversized.

Very good for city use

I've carried this around town for a few months now and the compact horizontal shape is probably what I appreciate most. It doesn't swing around or take up much room on public transport. The adjustable strap is comfortable and the black leather has started to pick up a little character without looking worn out.

A simple bag done well

There isn't anything overly complicated about the Don, and that's why I like it. The leather is the focus, the main flap is easy to use, and there are enough internal sections to keep my everyday things in order. It feels more refined than a nylon sling but just as convenient for a light load.

Great alternative to a backpack

I used to bring a backpack whenever I wanted to carry my tablet, even if that was almost all I had with me. This is far more appropriate for those days. It keeps the tablet protected inside, gives me space for the normal essentials and stays comfortable over one shoulder or across the body.

Has become my weekend favorite

I bought this mainly for travel, but I ended up using it much more often at home. It is ideal for a few hours out because it carries more than my pockets without encouraging me to bring unnecessary stuff. The leather feels good in hand and the understated black finish works with almost anything.

Compact without feeling like a pouch

That distinction mattered to me. I wanted something smaller than a briefcase but still structured enough to look like a real messenger bag. At 29 by 21.5 cm it hits that balance nicely. My tablet and daily essentials fit, and the 7 cm depth keeps the profile relatively slim.

Nice leather that should age well

The leather arrived smooth and clean, and after several months of use it has begun developing subtle changes where I handle it most. I prefer that to leather that looks coated or plastic. The bag still holds its shape well and the hardware hasn't given me any issues.

Practical for a lighter work setup

I don't always need my laptop, especially when I'm just heading to meetings or working from a cafe for a couple of hours. On those days this is excellent. My iPad, notebook, charger and personal items all fit, and I don't feel like I'm hauling a full office around with me.

A bit smaller than I pictured

The quality is very good, but this is genuinely compact. I initially tried to use it like my larger messenger and it felt cramped. Once I limited it to my tablet and essentials, it made much more sense.

Flap takes an extra moment

I'm used to top-zip bags, so opening the main flap isn't quite as quick. That said, I prefer the traditional messenger appearance and it feels secure when I'm walking around.

Strap needed adjusting

It sat a little low when I first unpacked it. After shortening the adjustable shoulder strap, the bag became much more comfortable and stays closer to my side.

Would like one more exterior pocket

The internal organization is good, but personally I'd appreciate another quick-access pocket outside. Otherwise the size, leather and construction have all been excellent.
