My daily briefcase for over a year

I've been carrying the Halston to work most weekdays for well over a year now. The size has been ideal for me because it holds my laptop, notebook, charger and documents without encouraging me to pack a bunch of things I don't need. The leather has developed some lighter areas around the corners and handles, and it has softened slightly while the body itself has stayed nicely structured. The zipper and shoulder strap hardware are still working perfectly.

The compartments are straightforward and useful. My smaller accessories aren't all sitting loose at the bottom anymore.

More structured than I expected

This bag holds its shape quite firmly, especially when new. I was used to a softer messenger bag so it took a little adjustment. After several months the leather has relaxed a bit, but it still has that clean structured appearance I wanted.

Has handled commuting extremely well

Mine is getting close to two years old and has been carried on trains several times a week for most of that time. I don't baby it either. It gets put under my desk, occasionally on the floor and squeezed next to other bags during busy commutes. The leather shows plenty of natural wear now, particularly around the handles and lower corners, but structurally everything remains excellent. The bag still holds its shape and none of the stitching or hardware has given me trouble.

Shoulder strap comes in handy

I usually carry it by the handles, but the detachable strap is really useful when I'm walking to the station or carrying coffee.

Doesn't feel bulky

The 9 cm depth is enough for my everyday things while keeping the briefcase fairly slim against my side.

Best for a focused work setup

There's enough room for a laptop, documents and normal accessories, but this isn't a bag I'd choose if I wanted to carry gym clothes or a large lunch as well. For a dedicated office briefcase, the capacity makes sense and keeps the profile looking clean.

Perfect for client meetings

I spend part of my week visiting clients and wanted something that looked more polished than the backpack I normally carried. The Halston has been ideal for that. The patina looks better every month

I've owned a few leather work bags, but this one has developed particularly nicely. After nineteen months the surface isn't perfectly uniform anymore. There are darker areas where I handle it frequently and lighter marks around the corners from everyday use. That's exactly what I wanted. I condition it occasionally and otherwise just use it normally. The zipper remains smooth and the handles still feel completely secure.

The 40 cm width gives it useful capacity without making it look like an overnight bag. Very comfortable size for the office.

Great organization for everyday work

My previous briefcase was basically one large open compartment, so I was constantly searching for smaller things. The Halston has just enough internal organization to solve that without going overboard. My computer has its place, documents stay flat and the small essentials don't disappear into the bottom. After more than a year, that simple layout is probably what I appreciate most.

Leather starts fairly firm

Mine needed some breaking in around the handles and opening. After several months of regular use it feels much more natural while still keeping the structured shape.

Still going strong after two years

This briefcase has been with me for roughly two years now and has seen a lot of regular office use and business travel. It has been placed under airplane seats, carried through train stations and used during countless normal commutes. The leather now has a proper broken-in appearance with small scratches and variations in tone. More importantly, the handles, strap attachments, zipper and stitching have all stayed dependable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same bag again.

Very good for business travel

I normally pair this with a small suitcase when traveling for work. It keeps my laptop, documents, headphones and chargers accessible during the journey without becoming another large piece of luggage. Once I arrive, I can take it directly into meetings. The detachable shoulder strap is particularly useful in airports when I'm already pulling a suitcase.

Built for everyday use

I don't save this for meetings or special occasions. It gets used almost every working day and I'm not especially careful with it. After a year and a half the leather has plenty of small marks, but they've blended into the grain and given the bag more character. The structured body still looks good and I've had no problems with the zipper, handles or shoulder strap connections.

It's roomy enough for an everyday work setup but not something I'd try to use as an overnight bag. I actually prefer that because it keeps me from overpacking.

It fits the essentials without feeling cumbersome and looks considerably more polished when I'm dressed for work. The shoulder strap means I haven't given up the convenience of hands-free carrying either. Sixteen months in, the leather is aging very nicely.

Almost two years of regular use have created subtle creases, scratches and color variation across the surface. The handles have darkened slightly from being carried and the corners show some natural wear. Despite all of that, the structure remains firm and the hardware still feels completely secure.
