Still my main work bag

I've carried this to the office four or five days a week for about a year and a half. It has been on trains, in taxis and through quite a few airports as well. The leather has softened slightly and developed some natural creasing, but the structured body still holds its shape remarkably well. My laptop stays separate from the smaller things I carry, and the main zipper has remained smooth despite constant use. I expected to rotate this with another bag, but I've barely used anything else since buying it.

Fits my laptop properly

My 15.6-inch work laptop fits without having to squeeze it in. There's still useful room for a notebook and the accessories I carry each day.

Firm when it first arrives

The leather and structure felt fairly stiff for the first couple of weeks. Regular use has softened it nicely without turning the bag floppy. Eight months later it actually feels much better in hand while still looking almost as structured as it did when new.

A proper office bag

I wanted to move away from carrying a backpack into meetings but didn't want an old-fashioned briefcase either. This has been a good compromise. The shape is simple and professional, especially in black, and it carries everything I normally need for a day at the office. After a year it still looks smart enough for client meetings.

Almost two years of daily use

Mine has been used heavily for almost two years and has held up better than the laptop bags I owned before it. It gets put under my desk, carried on public transport and occasionally packed quite tightly when I'm traveling. The leather now has a much more broken-in appearance with creases and small marks that give it character. The handles are still secure, the zipper works properly and the shoulder strap attachments haven't loosened. I would absolutely choose the same bag again.

The capacity is excellent for a laptop, documents and electronics, but I wouldn't buy this expecting it to double as an overnight bag. The structured slim design is clearly geared toward work. That's exactly what I wanted, so it suits me very well.

I spend a lot of time going between our office and client sites, so I needed something practical but presentable. The Keaton has worked extremely well. My laptop fits properly, the interior keeps my cables and documents organized and the detachable strap makes walking between appointments much easier. Once I'm inside a meeting, I usually remove the strap and carry it by the handles. Fifteen months later it still looks professional.

The inside feels properly finished rather than like an afterthought. It also makes the bag feel less harsh around my electronics.

The chocolate leather ages beautifully

I went with chocolate because I wanted the leather to show some character as it aged. After nineteen months it has done exactly that. Areas around the handles have darkened, there are small variations across the front and the corners show subtle signs of regular use. None of it looks damaged. If anything, the bag looks better now. The construction has also remained solid and the structured profile hasn't collapsed despite being carried almost every weekday.

It holds considerably more than the slim appearance suggests. My normal work setup fits without the bag looking stuffed.

Some work bags have so many tiny pockets that I can never remember where I've put anything. This is much simpler. Still dependable after two years

I've had this briefcase for about two years and it has seen hundreds of commutes along with a fair amount of business travel. I don't treat it particularly gently. It has been placed under airplane seats, squeezed into luggage compartments and carried through bad weather. The leather has naturally picked up some marks, but everything important remains in excellent condition. The handles feel secure, the main zipper still runs smoothly and the detachable strap hardware has never caused an issue.

Great companion for work travel

I normally travel with this and a small rolling suitcase. The briefcase keeps everything I need during the journey accessible, including my laptop, documents, charger and headphones. Because it's only 9 cm deep it doesn't feel like I'm carrying another piece of luggage. Once I arrive, it's professional enough to take directly into meetings.

Leather is developing real character

After seventeen months the Keaton has developed a much more interesting surface. There are small creases and tonal variations from being handled every day, particularly around the handles and edges. It still looks completely appropriate for the office, just less pristine and more personal.

Check your laptop dimensions

My 15.6-inch machine fits, but laptops with the same screen size can have different overall dimensions. I'd still measure before ordering if yours has unusually thick bezels or a bulky protective shell.
