Beautiful Chestnut leather

Really nice bag. The leather feels good quality and the stitching is well finished. It’s a good size for everyday use and has enough room for everything I normally carry without feeling bulky. Looks even better in person.

Has become my regular weekend bag

I've used the Marc several times a week for well over a year. The 23 cm width is enough for everything I normally need without turning it into another large messenger bag. I usually carry my wallet, phone, glasses, keys and a small power bank. The leather was fairly firm when it arrived but has softened beautifully and now has plenty of natural creasing and variation. The strap attachment points and stitching have held up extremely well.

A little stiff initially

The flap and strap both felt quite firm for the first couple of weeks. They've broken in nicely with use and the bag sits much more naturally now.

Simple and practical

I like that there aren't dozens of unnecessary compartments. Everything I carry regularly is easy to reach.

Excellent for traveling light

I bought this specifically for trips where I don't want to carry a backpack all day. It has enough room for my passport, wallet, phone, sunglasses and charging accessories while staying fairly compact. The adjustable strap gives me enough length to wear it comfortably across the body. Fourteen months and several trips later, the Chestnut leather has darkened slightly and picked up a few scratches that actually make it look better.

Could use another inner pocket

The interior works fine for the basics, although I'd personally like one more small pocket for cables or earbuds. Otherwise the size and construction are very good.

Comfortable to carry

The narrow shape stays close to my side when walking and doesn't feel awkward on crowded trains.

The patina has developed beautifully

I've had mine for nearly two years and the leather has changed quite a bit. The areas around the flap and edges have darkened, while the front has accumulated lighter scratches and natural creasing. I condition it occasionally but otherwise let it age on its own. Structurally the bag has been excellent. The strap hardware remains secure and I've had no loose stitching despite using it regularly.

Good proportions

Tall enough to be useful but still narrow and compact. Doesn't look oversized when worn.

It felt more structured than I expected when it first arrived. After several months the leather has relaxed while the bag has still kept its shape, which I prefer.

A very useful city bag

The Marc has become my default bag whenever I'm spending the day walking around town. It's compact enough that I don't feel weighed down, but there's still room for my wallet, phone, glasses, power bank, keys and a couple of other small items. The flap keeps the design clean and the adjustable strap is comfortable for several hours at a time. After fifteen months, the leather has softened considerably and developed a really nice character.

It doesn't collapse when it's only carrying a few things. I really like the clean rectangular profile.

Not meant for bulky items

At 6 cm deep there's useful room inside, but larger objects quickly change the shape of the bag. It works best for everyday essentials rather than trying to pack everything into it.

Has held up extremely well

This bag gets treated like an everyday item rather than something precious. It has been on trains, planes, café floors and packed into larger luggage countless times. The Chestnut leather has accumulated scratches and darker areas, but that's exactly the look I wanted. After eighteen months, nothing has failed. The stitching around the strap is still tight and the hardware remains firmly attached.

The shoulder strap has enough adjustment for me to wear it higher or lower depending on what I'm doing.

Perfect alternative to a larger messenger

I used to carry a messenger bag even when I only needed a handful of things. The Marc has been a much better solution. There's enough space for the essentials and a few extras, but the 23 × 28 cm footprint keeps everything compact. I've used it for work lunches, weekends and several short trips. More than a year later, the leather is noticeably softer while the bag still holds its structured shape.

Tab closure takes getting used to

The closure isn't as quick as a simple magnetic flap, but after a little use I got accustomed to it. I like the traditional appearance it gives the bag.

Good depth for the size

The 6 cm depth gives enough room for sunglasses and a power bank without making the whole bag look bulky.

Almost two years of regular use

Mine has been carried several days a week for almost two years. It has softened a lot since it was new, especially around the flap and sides, but the structure is still there. The leather now has plenty of variation and small marks from everyday use. I particularly like that the bag has remained comfortable despite being made from fairly substantial leather. No problems at all with the strap, stitching or hardware.

A touch heavier than fabric

Obviously this has more weight than the nylon crossbody I was replacing. In exchange it feels far more substantial and I prefer the way the leather looks.

Excellent for short trips

I usually take this as my personal bag when traveling with a larger carry-on. It holds my passport, phone, wallet, glasses and charging accessories, which are the things I want immediately accessible. The vertical profile makes it easy to keep on while moving through stations and airports. Sixteen months of fairly frequent travel has given the leather a lot of character, but the bag itself remains in excellent condition.

Once I found the right length it became very comfortable. Doesn't constantly slide around while walking.

Just the right amount of space

A year in, this is still one of the bags I reach for most often. The main compartment is simple but large enough for my daily essentials, and the smaller interior space helps keep cards and little items from disappearing. I particularly like that it stays fairly slim even when loaded. The leather has softened nicely over the past year and the Chestnut finish is developing darker areas around the edges.

Shows marks quickly

The leather started picking up little scratches within the first few weeks. Most blend into the finish over time and I've grown to like the more worn-in appearance.

Looks much better broken in

When it arrived the leather was smooth and fairly stiff. Nineteen months later it has softened considerably and developed a much richer appearance. There are visible creases around the flap, a few scratches across the front and darker areas where I handle it most often. The bag has been used heavily during that time, but there are still no loose stitches or problems around the shoulder strap attachments.

Good balance

Small enough for casual use but large enough that I don't have to leave useful things behind.

Could be softer out of the box

The leather needed some breaking in before the bag felt completely comfortable against my side. Four months later it's much softer and I'm very happy with how it's aging.

Would recommend

A well-made compact crossbody with a simple layout and really nice full-grain leather.
