Care
Caring For Your Leather
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For marks or stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap, then let air dry. Avoid direct heat sources.
Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To help bags maintain their shape, fill with tissue paper or soft cloth and store upright. Avoid sealing leather in plastic bags for extended periods - the material needs airflow.
Apply quality leather conditioner every few months to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking.

Excellent for the office
Slim enough for commuting but still holds my laptop, charger, notebook and a few documents comfortably.

Great in black
Simple, understated and professional.

Still going strong
I've been carrying the Pemberton to work for well over a year now and it has become my default bag. I commute by train, so I specifically wanted something that wouldn't feel bulky when standing in a crowded carriage. The slim shape works very well for that. The leather has softened and picked up a few small marks, but the stitching, handles and hardware have all remained solid. I also appreciate the front zip pockets much more than I expected because I can keep smaller items separate from my laptop and paperwork.
Coy F.
Front pockets are handy
I use one for cables and the other for keys and smaller items. Much easier than having everything loose in the main compartment.
Chauncey B.
Leather needed a little time
It felt fairly firm straight out of the box, especially around the handles. After a few months of regular use it has softened quite a bit and feels more natural to carry. The structure hasn't disappeared though, which is exactly what I wanted.
Skip B.
Very well made
Feels substantial without looking heavy.
Austin H.
Exactly the size I wanted
I specifically didn't want one of those oversized work bags that ends up collecting things I don't need. This has enough room for my laptop, notebook, charger and daily essentials while forcing me to keep things reasonably organized. After a year the chocolate leather has developed some nice variation and the bag still looks smart enough for meetings.
Reese B.
Good everyday organization
Laptop in the main section, smaller things in the front pockets. Straightforward layout that works.
Algie C.
Beautiful leather
The cognac finish has loads of character.
Audie J.
Has aged much better than my previous bag
I've had this for nearly two years and use it three or four days most weeks. My previous synthetic laptop bag started peeling around the handles after about a year, whereas the Pemberton has simply developed more character. There are creases, small scratches and darker areas where I handle it most often, but nothing looks like it's actually deteriorating. The shoulder strap attachments are still secure, the zippers continue to run smoothly and the handles feel as solid as they did when the bag was new.
Fletcher N.
Great commuter bag
The 9 cm depth gives me useful room without making it awkward to carry on public transport.
Dylan H.
Shoulder strap gets plenty of use
I carry it by the handles around the office but use the shoulder strap for my walk to and from the station. Nice having both options.
Leander S.
Slim means slim
This is excellent if you carry a laptop and normal office essentials, but don't expect it to replace a large messenger or overnight bag. I tried carrying bulky headphones, a large water bottle and lunch along with my normal work setup and it became crowded. Once I went back to the essentials, the bag was exactly what I wanted.
Juan H.
Very clean design
No unnecessary details. Looks great with work clothes.
Erwin F.
Perfect for client-facing work
I wanted something more professional than the backpack I'd been using without going all the way to a traditional hard briefcase. The Pemberton sits right in the middle. It has a clean shape, carries my everyday work setup and doesn't look out of place when I'm meeting clients. The detachable shoulder strap is particularly useful because I use it during the commute and remove it when I get to the office. Fifteen months in, I'm still very happy with it.
Adlai D.
Useful without being complicated
The layout is simple but practical. I don't need ten tiny compartments, just somewhere sensible for the laptop and smaller accessories.
Ewell C.
Really pleased
Good leather and a great size.
Carey G.
Cognac develops a lot of character
The cognac version was fairly bright when it first arrived, but nineteen months of commuting have changed it considerably. The handles are darker, the edges show some lighter wear and there are small marks across the front that have blended naturally into the leather. I condition it occasionally but otherwise haven't tried to keep it pristine. The construction itself has held up very well and the bag still maintains a clean shape when I put it down.
Buford T.
Nice slim proportions
It carries everything I actually need without looking oversized. Much better for my commute than the bulky bag it replaced.
Noble S.
Black looks sharp
Very understated and professional.
Royal A.
The front pockets make it
I use the two front pockets constantly. One has my charging cable, mouse and adapter while the other gets keys, earbuds and whatever else I want quickly. It keeps the main compartment much cleaner and means I don't have to dig around beside the laptop. After thirteen months the zippers are still smooth and the pockets haven't stretched out of shape.
Lemuel R.
Heavier than my old nylon case
There is definitely more weight here than with a basic fabric laptop bag. Once I adjusted the shoulder strap properly it became much more comfortable. I prefer the feel and appearance of the leather enough that the extra weight isn't an issue for me.
Chance K.
Solid handles
I usually carry it by hand and the handles feel very secure even when the bag is full.
Sylvan N.
Nice quality
The stitching is neat throughout.
Kiran A.
Still my work bag after two years
Two years of commuting have given mine plenty of wear, but in the way you'd hope from a leather bag. The chocolate finish now has a lot more variation than when it was new and there are small scratches and creases across the surface. Despite that, the actual construction has barely changed. The handles remain firmly attached, both front zippers work properly and the shoulder strap hardware hasn't loosened. I've looked at other briefcases since buying it but haven't found a reason to replace this one.
Myles I.
Good laptop section
Keeps my laptop separate from everything else and leaves the rest of the main compartment usable.
Carter E.
Feels premium
Really nice leather in hand.
Burke M.
Works well for business travel
I usually pair this with a small rolling suitcase when I'm away for work. My laptop, documents, chargers and headphones stay in the Pemberton so I can access them during the journey. The slim profile is particularly useful in airports because it doesn't feel like I'm carrying a second piece of luggage. Once I arrive, it looks polished enough to take directly to meetings.
Bonnie R.
Doesn't sag
Even on days when I'm carrying very little, it keeps a neat shape rather than collapsing in on itself.
Jose R.
Exactly right
Compact, practical and well made.
Joshua M.
Built for being used
This isn't something I keep on a shelf and bring out occasionally. It gets carried to work, put under my desk, taken on trains and occasionally squeezed under an airplane seat. After eighteen months there are plenty of small marks on the leather, but everything feels structurally sound. The corners haven't split, the handles haven't loosened and the zippers are still working smoothly. It has developed a worn-in appearance without looking worn out.
Alex W.
Best for the essentials
The slim profile is the main reason to buy this, so capacity naturally has its limits. My laptop, charger, documents and notebook fit well. If I add bulky extras it starts getting tight. For a normal office setup, though, the proportions are excellent.
Arlo S.
Easy to carry
The detachable strap is great for the commute and I like being able to remove it once I'm at work.
Montgomery F.
Great cognac color
Warm and natural looking.
Shepherd H.
Made the switch from a backpack
I'd carried a backpack to the office for years but wanted something a little more appropriate for meetings. The Pemberton has been a good transition because I haven't really lost the convenience I was worried about. The shoulder strap works well for commuting, while the handles give it a much more professional appearance once I'm at work. The laptop sleeve and front pockets also keep everything more organized than my old backpack ever did.
Bain M.
Everything has its place
The laptop sleeve and front pockets are enough organization for my needs. Nothing overly complicated.
Truman C.
Feels dependable
Good hardware and sturdy construction.
Major D.
Chocolate leather has aged nicely
Mine has been in regular rotation for twenty months and the chocolate finish looks much richer now. The areas around the handles have darkened, the front has picked up small scratches and there are subtle lighter areas along the edges. I use conditioner every few months but otherwise let it age naturally. The bag still keeps its shape and all of the hardware feels secure despite being carried several times a week.
Chip N.
Perfect amount of room
Enough for my laptop, charger, notebook and paperwork without encouraging me to carry half the office around.
Emery P.
Would buy again
Great everyday briefcase. Practical without looking boring.
