My most-used travel bag

I've taken this on several trips over the last year and a half and it has become the bag I use while walking around a new city. It holds my passport, wallet, phone, power bank and sunglasses without looking stuffed. I particularly like the quick-access front section for things like train tickets and hotel cards. The leather has picked up plenty of marks but they've blended into a really nice worn finish.

Strap was stiff initially

The strap needed a few weeks before it started sitting comfortably. It's much better now and the bag itself has softened nicely too.

Useful without the bulk

This carries considerably more than my pockets but doesn't feel anything like wearing a full crossbody or backpack.

Perfect for airport days

I bought this mainly because I wanted my passport, phone, wallet and charging gear somewhere accessible while traveling. It has worked perfectly for that. The shape stays close to the body, which is useful in crowded airports, and I can get to the front pocket without taking the whole thing off. After fourteen months all the zippers are smooth and the strap hardware still feels secure.

Keys in the front, wallet and phone inside. Simple but it keeps me from digging around for everything.

A little heavier than nylon

Definitely has more weight than my old fabric sling. That said, the leather feels much more substantial and I prefer the way this one looks.

Still solid after nearly two years

This has been my weekend bag for almost two years. I don't treat it particularly carefully and it has been thrown into suitcases, left on car floors and carried in all sorts of weather. The surface has plenty of scratches and creases now, which suits the leather perfectly. More importantly, none of the seams have opened, the zipper hasn't caused any problems and the strap remains firmly attached.

Surprisingly roomy

The 5 cm depth doesn't sound like much but there's enough space for all the small things I normally carry.

Shows marks quickly

The Yellow Brown finish started picking up little scratches almost immediately. They've blended in more as I've used it and the worn-in appearance is growing on me.

Exactly what I wanted for city trips

I've used this on four trips now and the compact shape is ideal when I'm spending an entire day walking. It has enough room for my essentials and a small power bank without becoming cumbersome. I wear it across the front in crowded areas and move it around to the side when there's more space. The leather has softened considerably after a year and feels much more natural against the body.

I can get to my keys and earbuds without opening the main compartment, which is exactly what I wanted.

Leather gets better with use

Mine looked quite clean and uniform when it arrived, but sixteen months of regular wear has completely changed it. The surface has darkened where I handle it most and there are small scuffs and creases across the front. It now has the broken-in leather appearance I was hoping for. The bag itself is still structurally excellent and the zipper runs just as smoothly as it did when new.

Could use a softer strap

The strap material felt fairly firm at first. Regular use has helped a lot, although I'd still prefer it slightly softer against lighter clothing.

I've worn it for hours at a time while sightseeing and it stays comfortably out of the way.

Has handled a lot of travel

I've taken this through airports, train stations and several long walking days over the last nineteen months. The size works particularly well for travel because I can carry the things I need regularly without having another large bag hanging from me. The front section gets used constantly for tickets and keys. There are plenty of marks on the leather now but the construction hasn't given me any reason for concern.

Better than stuffing my pockets

Phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses all fit comfortably and I don't have heavy pockets anymore.

Compact means compact

It carries everyday essentials well, but you do have to be sensible about what you bring. Once I stopped trying to pack it like a messenger bag I've been very happy with it.

A year in and no complaints

I've used this several times a week for a full year. It carries my wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and charging gear with a little room left depending on what I pack. The main zipper has stayed smooth and the strap adjustment doesn't slip during the day. Mine has also developed a much softer feel than it had when new, which makes it noticeably more comfortable to wear.

Needed some breaking in

It sat a little awkwardly against me when brand new because the leather was fairly structured. Six months later it has softened and conforms much better.

Ideal for weekends away

This goes into my luggage whenever I'm away for a weekend. Once I arrive, it's all I need for walking around during the day. My wallet, phone, glasses, portable charger and hotel key all have enough room, and I can keep smaller things separated in the front. The leather is now nicely broken in after fifteen months and the bag still holds its shape well.

Nearly two years of regular use

The Randy has held up far better than the cheaper slings I've owned. Mine has been used regularly for nearly two years and has been packed into suitcases countless times. The leather is covered in little marks now and has softened substantially, but there are no problems with the stitching or zipper. The strap hardware is also still completely secure. It looks used, but in the way good leather should.

Just enough space

I wanted something intentionally small and this is a good balance between useful capacity and a compact profile.

Hardware adds some weight

The fittings feel solid but they do add a little weight to such a compact bag. Not a major issue, and I'd rather have sturdy hardware than flimsy clips.

Great everyday alternative to a backpack

On days when I don't need a laptop, this has completely replaced my backpack. It takes my normal essentials while being much easier to carry on public transport or when running errands. I like wearing it across the front when things are crowded and moving it around to my side when walking. Eleven months in, the leather is softer, the zipper is still excellent and nothing has stretched out.

The worn leather looks fantastic

Seventeen months of use has transformed the appearance of mine. The surface has darker areas where it rubs against clothing, lighter scratches across the front and some creasing around the zipper. That's exactly what I wanted from a full-grain leather sling. I condition it occasionally but otherwise just use it normally. The construction remains excellent and it still feels like it has years of use left.
