Ideal everyday size
Big enough for everything I normally carry without feeling like a full messenger bag.

Still my most-used small bag
I've carried the River several times a week for well over a year now. The 10 cm depth makes it much more useful than the really slim crossbody bags I've owned because I can fit my wallet, phone, sunglasses case, charger and a few other things without forcing the zipper closed. The front zip pocket is where I keep my keys and earbuds. The leather has softened nicely and picked up enough marks to give it some character, while all the stitching and hardware still feel solid.

Slightly bulky when completely full
There's a surprising amount of room because of the depth. If I pack it completely it does stick out more than I'd like, so I usually leave a little space. Otherwise it's been excellent.
Size & Capacity
Front pocket is genuinely useful
Perfect place for the things I reach for constantly instead of opening the main compartment every time.

Feels substantial
Proper leather and tidy stitching.

Excellent travel companion
I bought this mainly for traveling and ended up using it at home just as often. On trips it carries my passport, wallet, phone, power bank, charging cables and sunglasses while staying compact enough to wear through airports and train stations. I particularly appreciate having both the main zipper and front zip pocket because I can separate valuables from things I need quickly. Fifteen months later the leather is softer and looks better than when it arrived.

Took some time to soften
Mine was quite structured straight out of the box, especially the strap. Four months of regular use has made a big difference and it's much more comfortable now.
Comfort

Good interior layout
The phone and zip pockets keep smaller items from disappearing into the bottom of the main compartment.
Organization
Great black leather
Clean and understated.
Looks & Style
Nearly two years and holding up well
Mine has been used regularly for almost two years, including quite a bit of travel. The leather now has creases around the zipper and some surface marks across the front, but structurally the bag has held up extremely well. The main zipper still runs smoothly, the front pocket hasn't stretched out and the strap attachment points remain secure. I also use the little top handle far more often than I expected when picking the bag up from the car or desk.

Hardware
Comfortable across the body
Once adjusted properly it stays close to my side and doesn't move around much when I'm walking.
Comfort
Heavier than my nylon bag
There's definitely a weight difference compared with the fabric crossbody this replaced. The leather feels considerably more substantial though, so I'm happy with the tradeoff.

Just right for daily essentials
Phone, wallet, glasses, keys and charger all fit comfortably with room left over.
Everyday Use
Size & Capacity
Much more practical than it looks
The River looks fairly compact from the front, but the 10 cm depth gives it a surprising amount of usable space. I regularly carry a chunky glasses case, wallet, phone, charger and small notebook without making it difficult to close. The pockets also make a real difference because smaller items aren't all mixed together. After thirteen months, the leather has broken in beautifully and the bag still holds its upright shape.

Smooth zippers
Both zippers have worked smoothly from day one and the pulls are easy to grab.

Solid little bag
Very pleased with it.
Quality
Wish the strap was a touch wider
It's comfortable with a normal load, although when I really fill the bag I notice the strap more. A slightly wider strap would have made it perfect for me.
Comfort
Excellent for weekends away
This has become the small bag I throw into my luggage whenever I'm going away. Once I arrive, it carries everything I need during the day without having to bring my backpack. The front zip pocket is particularly useful for hotel keys and transit cards, while my wallet and other valuables stay inside the main compartment. Eighteen months of use has left plenty of small marks on the leather, but nothing has come loose or failed.

Top handle comes in handy
Didn't think I'd care about the handle but I use it constantly when grabbing the bag from a chair or car seat.

My regular city bag now
I originally bought this because I wanted something more polished than a nylon sling but still small enough for everyday use. It has worked perfectly. The vertical shape takes up very little space on crowded trains and the adjustable strap lets me keep it fairly close to my body. The main compartment has more room than expected and the front zipper is useful for quick-access items. More than a year later it has softened nicely without losing its shape.

Leather marks fairly easily
The Chestnut finish started showing small scratches pretty quickly. Most of them have blended into the leather with handling, and I'm starting to like the more broken-in look.
Leather Quality
Great for commuting light
Perfect on days when I don't need my laptop. Carries everything else without the bulk of my work bag.

The patina has really developed
I've had the Chocolate version for around nineteen months. It started quite uniform and structured, but now the leather has darker areas around the handle and edges, lighter marks across the front and a much softer feel overall. I condition it every few months and otherwise don't baby it. Despite the softer leather, the bag hasn't become shapeless and both zippers are still operating smoothly. Very happy with how it's aging.

Roomier than expected
The photos made it look slimmer than it actually is. That extra depth makes it much more useful for me.
Size & Capacity
Great purchase
Using it every day so far.
Everyday Use
A bit boxy when new
The shape was very structured at first and felt slightly boxy against my side. After seven months the leather has relaxed and it sits much more naturally now.

A very useful travel size
I've taken this through several countries now and it has been exactly the right size for keeping the important things close. My passport, wallet, phone, sunglasses, charging cables and a compact power bank all fit comfortably. The zipped compartments make it easier to organize everything and I like that there isn't an open flap that can lift while moving around. The leather has softened considerably after sixteen months but remains in excellent condition.

Useful pockets
Having a dedicated phone pocket and another zipped pocket inside makes a simple bag much easier to live with.
Organization
Looks sharp
The black version works with pretty much everything.
Looks & Style
Still going strong after almost two years
This has seen far more use than I originally expected. It's been my weekend bag, travel bag and general everyday crossbody for nearly two years. There are scratches and creases all over the leather now, but that's made it look better rather than worn out. The strap clips and zippers have been completely reliable, and there are no loose stitches around the areas that take the most strain. I'd happily buy the same bag again.

Good balance
Enough capacity to be useful without crossing over into bulky messenger-bag territory.
Size & Capacity
Hardware feels sturdy
Everything feels reassuringly solid. My only small complaint is that the metal clips add a little more weight than I expected, but they do feel durable.

A year of regular use
After a full year this is still one of the first bags I reach for when heading out. The layout is straightforward but well thought out. I keep my keys in the front zip pocket, phone in the interior pocket and wallet in the main compartment, which means I'm not constantly digging around for things. The leather has become softer and more flexible with use, but the bag still looks tidy and structured.

Better once broken in
It took a few weeks before the leather and strap started feeling natural rather than brand new and stiff. Since then it has become much more comfortable and I'm enjoying how the surface is changing with use.
