My most-used bag

I've carried the Sutton several times a week for about a year and a half now. It has basically replaced stuffing everything into my pockets whenever I leave the house. I normally carry my wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and a few smaller items, and there is still enough room to get to everything easily. The leather has softened noticeably and picked up plenty of small marks, but they suit the bag. The strap and zipper have both held up extremely well.

Good compact capacity

It carries more than I expected from the dimensions. The 9 cm depth gives you useful space without making the bag stick out too far.

Strap took some adjusting

It took me a few days to find the strap length that felt right. Once I did, it became much more comfortable and now I barely notice it when walking around town. The bag itself is excellent and the compact shape is exactly what I wanted.

Great alternative to carrying a backpack

I don't need a full backpack most days, but I usually have too much to comfortably fit in my pockets. This has been the perfect middle ground. It takes my everyday essentials and stays close to my body when I'm walking or using public transport. After a year, the leather has softened nicely without the bag losing its structured shape.

Chocolate leather ages beautifully

I've had the chocolate version for nearly two years and it has developed a lot of character. There are lighter scratches across the front, some darker areas where I tend to handle it and natural creasing around the sides. I condition it occasionally but otherwise haven't treated it particularly carefully. Despite being used constantly, the main zipper is still smooth, the strap attachment points are secure and the stitching hasn't started coming apart anywhere.

Doesn't feel bulky

The proportions are good. It holds my daily things but doesn't feel like I'm wearing a small backpack on my side.

Great for weekends

This is what I grab when I'm heading out for the day and don't want a backpack. Wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys and a portable charger fit comfortably.

Much more useful than I expected

I wasn't sure how often I'd actually use a crossbody bag, but it has become one of those things I automatically grab before leaving home. The size is particularly good because it carries everything that would normally end up in my jacket pockets without becoming cumbersome. I also appreciate the simple exterior because it doesn't look overly sporty.

Excellent for city travel

I've used this on several trips where I wanted my passport, wallet, phone and other essentials close to me rather than buried inside a backpack. The adjustable strap makes it easy to wear across the body, and the main zipper is reassuring in crowded places. Fifteen months of regular use has softened the leather nicely, but the bag still keeps a clean shape.

Cognac develops a great patina

Mine looked fairly clean and uniform when it first arrived. After nineteen months it has darker areas around the edges, small scratches across the flap and plenty of subtle tonal variation. I prefer how it looks now because the leather has much more personality. I've used it through airports, weekends away and everyday errands, and the strap hardware and zipper are still completely dependable.

Surprisingly roomy

The 9 cm depth is enough for more than just flat items. I can carry a small power bank and glasses case without overstuffing it.

A bit firm at first

The leather was stiffer than I expected when new, particularly around the main opening. It has softened considerably after a few months of regular use and is now much easier to handle. I actually like that it has retained some structure rather than becoming floppy.

Perfect for days when a backpack is too much

This fills a very specific gap for me. I don't always need to carry a laptop or a lot of gear, but I still want somewhere for my phone, wallet, keys, glasses and charger. The Sutton carries all of that comfortably and is much less cumbersome than my backpack. I've owned it for over a year and it's now probably my most frequently used casual bag.

Still using it constantly

I've had mine for around two years now and it has traveled with me far more than I originally expected. It gets used for errands during the week and usually comes with me whenever I travel. The leather now shows plenty of scratches and creasing, but there hasn't been any significant deterioration. The adjustable strap still holds its position, the metal fittings remain secure and the main zipper hasn't caused any problems. It feels properly broken in at this point.

Tall enough to be useful without feeling oversized. The compact width also keeps it comfortable against my side.

Excellent travel companion

I bought this primarily for travel and ended up using it at home just as much. When flying, it keeps my passport, phone, wallet, earbuds and charging cable together and easy to reach. The zipper is particularly useful when moving through crowded airports. After a year of being packed into larger bags and carried around cities, it still looks and works great.

I use this bag rather than babying it. It gets placed on café tables, train seats, floors and occasionally stuffed inside a larger travel bag. After seventeen months, the leather has plenty of little marks but the construction hasn't given me any concerns. The stitching remains neat, the zipper is smooth and the strap attachment points are still solid. It has become softer and more comfortable with time as well.

The dimensions are accurate, so don't expect this to replace a backpack. It's excellent for everyday essentials, but larger items quickly use up the available room. Once I stopped trying to carry too much, I appreciated the compact size much more.

More useful than a sling for me

I tried a smaller sling before this and always found myself running out of space. The Sutton is still compact, but its 30 cm height and 9 cm depth make it much more practical for the things I carry. I can bring a glasses case, charger and a few other items without everything being packed tightly together. Sixteen months later, it has become a regular part of my weekend routine.

Chestnut has aged really well

After twenty months, my chestnut Sutton has a noticeably richer finish than it did originally. The corners are slightly darker, there are fine scratches across the leather and the areas I touch most often have developed a smooth sheen. I use conditioner occasionally but haven't done anything special beyond that. The bag still maintains its structured shape and all of the hardware remains firmly attached.

Very good with one small limitation

I really like the shape, leather and strap, but the compact interior means I have to be selective about what I bring. For my phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses and charger it's excellent. Add too many bulky items and it fills quickly. That's more about the size than the quality, and I still use it constantly.
