Care
Caring For Your Leather
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For marks or stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap, then let air dry. Avoid direct heat sources.
Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To help bags maintain their shape, fill with tissue paper or soft cloth and store upright. Avoid sealing leather in plastic bags for extended periods - the material needs airflow.
Apply quality leather conditioner every few months to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking.

Perfect for the office
I wanted a backpack that didn't look like something I'd take to the gym. The Wycliffe has a much cleaner, more professional look and the black leather works well with what I normally wear to the office.
Curtis A.
Beautiful leather
Really impressed with the leather and overall construction. Feels like a bag I'll be carrying for a long time.
Norman E.
Simple organization
What I like most is that they didn't go overboard with compartments. There's a main section for the bulk of my things, plus the interior and exterior pockets for the smaller stuff I don't want floating around. Easy to remember where everything is.
Victor S.
Very well made
The stitching looks clean, the hardware feels substantial and the whole backpack has a solid feel to it.
Dale N.
Took a little breaking in
The leather was firmer than I expected when I first took it out of the box. After carrying it regularly it has started to soften and feel more natural. I actually prefer the way it looks now compared with the first week.
Martin J.
Good everyday size
At about 15 inches tall it doesn't feel like an oversized travel backpack. I mainly wanted something for daily essentials and this size has worked very well for that.
Gilbert H.
Still looks better with age
I've had mine for over a year now and it has become one of those things that looks better after being used. There are some natural marks and variations in the leather now, but they add character rather than making the bag look worn out. The construction has held up very well too.
Luiz H.
Great looking backpack
I hope the picture does the quality justice. Really impressed with the quality and I’ve had loads of compliments on it already. I picked up a card holder too and that's just as nice.
Vincent L.
Finally retired my old bag
My previous backpack had been with me for years but it was a basic fabric one and always looked out of place when I had meetings. I wanted to keep the convenience of carrying a backpack rather than switching to a briefcase. The Wycliffe has been a good solution because it feels practical but looks much more appropriate for work.
Neil C.
Chestnut looks great
Went with the chestnut finish and I'm glad I did. It has a lot of natural variation and doesn't have that overly perfect look you get with cheaper leather.
Lawrence P.
Useful without being bulky
Good proportions for a daily backpack. Enough room for what I normally bring with me without feeling like I'm carrying luggage.
Todd R.
Holding up extremely well
This gets used several days a week and I don't baby it. It goes from the house to the car, gets carried into work and gets set down wherever there's room. After more than a year everything still feels secure and the leather has developed a great worn-in appearance.
Gerald M.
Good bag with one adjustment
It took me a few days to get the shoulder straps adjusted exactly where I wanted them. Once I did, the bag sat much better and has been comfortable for my normal commute. Very pleased with the quality overall.
Wayne D.
The pockets make sense
I appreciate having both interior and exterior storage instead of one large open compartment. I can separate the small things I need during the day and leave the main compartment for everything else.
Bernard F.
Looks right for my age
I'm 61 and didn't want another sporty backpack covered in logos and zippers. This has a straightforward design and the flap front gives it a more traditional look. It's exactly the sort of bag I was hoping to find.
Eugene T.
A year later
Mine has been in regular rotation for about a year. The leather has softened and picked up some character while the bag itself has stayed solid. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
Oscar G.
Nice balance
Not too big and not too small for what I carry day to day. The 13 cm depth gives it useful space without making the bag stick out too far when it's on my back.
Keith M.
Exactly why I buy leather
When it arrived the leather was quite clean and uniform, but after a year and a half of use it has developed its own personality. The creases and subtle changes in the surface are what make it interesting. It feels like my backpack now rather than something that just came off a shelf.
Melvin B.
Very practical
The top handle is more useful than I expected. I use the shoulder straps when walking but usually grab it by the handle getting in and out of the car.
Phillip E.
Good work companion
I commute into the office three days a week and this has become the bag I automatically reach for. It carries my daily necessities, the pockets keep the little things organized, and it looks much better walking into the office than my old nylon pack.
Calvin R.
Quality you can feel
The leather has a substantial feel and the brass hardware suits the style of the backpack very well. Nothing about it feels flimsy.
Raymond J.
Smaller than my old pack
My previous backpack was considerably larger, so the Wycliffe took some getting used to. I have to be a little more selective about what I bring, but for normal daily use I actually prefer the cleaner, less bulky size.
Dennis R.
The black is very sharp
I chose black because I wanted something understated for work. It looks sharp without drawing too much attention and goes with pretty much everything I wear.
Manuel C.
A sensible layout
There are enough pockets to keep things separated without turning the bag into a filing cabinet. The exterior pocket gets used constantly and I like having the zip and slot pockets inside for smaller items.
Arthur C.
Built for regular use
Coming up on two years with mine and it has proven to be a very dependable backpack. The stitching is still holding well, the hardware feels solid and the leather has aged rather than simply looking worn. I bought it expecting something I could keep for years and so far that's exactly what it has been.
Leonard I.
Love the flap design
The flap gives it a different look from the usual zip-around backpack. Clean and understated.
Ricardo H.
Great for commuting
Most of my use is going between home and the office. The adjustable straps let me get the fit where I want it and the size is manageable when I'm moving through crowded areas. It's become a very easy bag to live with.
Howard D.
Glad I spent a little more
I looked at quite a few cheaper backpacks before ordering this one. After more than a year of carrying it, I'm glad I didn't go with another disposable bag. The leather has broken in nicely and the construction still feels dependable.
Walter S.
Just a good backpack
Comfortable to carry, looks good and has enough organization for my everyday things. That's really all I wanted.
Stephen J.
From briefcase to backpack
I carried a traditional briefcase for most of my career and finally decided convenience mattered more. I wasn't interested in showing up with a modern athletic-looking pack though. The Wycliffe was a good compromise. The flap and leather give it a classic appearance, but I get the comfort of carrying everything on my shoulders.
Jorge A.
Good proportions
The 30 by 39 cm footprint works nicely for me. It has enough presence to feel substantial but doesn't overwhelm you when you're carrying it.
Gregory N.
Leather needs time
I wasn't completely sold during the first few days because the leather felt stiffer than I expected. After several weeks of regular use it started relaxing and now I understand the appeal. It has aged very nicely.
Patrick E.
One of my better purchases
I've bought enough inexpensive bags over the years that eventually ended up in a closet or trash. This one has stayed in regular use. It feels substantial, still looks good after more than a year and has become more comfortable as the leather has broken in.
Sanjay P.
Everything has its place
The interior slot and zip pockets are useful for keeping smaller items separate from the main compartment. I don't spend nearly as much time digging around for things as I did with my previous backpack.
Ronald G.
Looks better in person
The photos were what got my attention but the leather has more character when you actually see it up close. The brass hardware also works really well with the overall design.
Ernest L.
Daily use for a year
This has been my main weekday backpack for roughly a year. It gets carried to work, tossed onto the passenger seat and picked up by the top handle constantly. Nothing has given me trouble and the leather has developed a much richer appearance with use.
Clifford R.
Clean and uncomplicated
I was specifically trying to avoid backpacks covered with exterior zippers and straps. This one has a much cleaner profile and the flap keeps the front looking tidy.
Roberto D.
Ages the way leather should
Mine has plenty of small marks and creases now, but none of them bother me. They blend into the leather and give it the worn-in look I wanted from the beginning. The bag itself has stayed sturdy through regular use.
Jeffrey M.
Good workday carry
The size makes sense for a normal workday rather than a weekend away. I can bring my everyday necessities, keep the smaller pieces separated in the pockets and still have a backpack that doesn't look oversized.
Elaine T.
My husband still carries it
I gave this to my husband because he wanted a nicer backpack for commuting but would never have bought one for himself. Two years later he still carries it regularly. The leather has softened and changed quite a bit since it was new, and he says that's his favorite part about it now.
